Dark Souls 2 CE

Unless you live in Japan that is. The game is almost upon us, once again to deal another five stages of Dark Souls death. Namely confusion, anger, pain, depression and acceptance. Kind of like what your bank account feels like when you buy a special edition game. Here’s what the land of the rising sun gets in their pricier edition.

Naturally (and extremely) limited to Japan, the chaps there get the following goodies in their Bandai Namco branded box:

  • Dark Souls 2 the game (Duh)
  • Soundtrack CD
  • 100 page art book
  • Game map
  • Miniature weapons set in a wooden case

Damn, that looks sexier than the Japanese Kit Kat store. Plus, I may have wood for that wooden box which will probably result in splinters. So how much does that bundle cost? A grand total of $160, which works out to roughly R1760…No wait, it’s R1800 now. No crap, it went up again, it’s now R2040 dammit Zuma stop making speeches!

Fret not however! There is a collector’s edition for European and American fans. That one features the game, a fancy pants tin to house it in, the soundtrack, a map, the art book and a massive figure of the Warrior Knight.

Locally, it’ll cost you R1429, so buy from that Kalahari link (PS3 version here) or Gavin will sell another one of my organs in order to keep the lights on for the rest of the month. Dark Souls 2 rocks the casbah March 14 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

March 28th? Bummer. I assumed the March 11th release applied to us too. I suppose I will have to stretch Thief, Castlevania and South park until then
