It’s the New Year! New resolutions to be made (and hopefully not broken). But most importantly, as we all know, it’s the most anticipated year for next-gen gaming. All your wallets are going to cry; most of us definitely went way over budget with all the title than came out since late November. It’s probably a great idea to do some saving these next two months, and King Price knows how to do just that with their super cheap insurance.
So without further ado, here’s the top four most anticipated titles for 2015 chosen by yours truly, brought to you by the folks with the insurance premiums that decrease every month.
4. The Witcher 3
Probably the most anticipated game for many, this DRM-free RPG from CD Projekt RED brings to a close the tale of everyone’s favourite white-haired baddass, Geralt of Rivia. Subtitled “The Wild Hunt,” the open-world game introduces Geralt to his toughest foe yet.
3. Mortal Kombat X
2011’s Mortal Kombat was a reboot done right, mixing the chronology of the old games with a brand new timeline that is continued some twenty years later in Mortal Kombat X.Taking Gears of War 2’s muddled “Bigger, Better, More Badass,” ethos and acually applying it, this year’s game introduces a faster kombat system, a new selection of switchable fighting styles and even gorier fatalities.
2. The Division
Ubisoft’s open world third person survival title looks to be an absolute winner and with the game being given a fair amount of development time we could really see the first truly next gen game when it is released later this year.
1. Splatooooooooooon
Easily my most anticipated title of 2015 is the brand new shooter title for the Nintendo Wii-U. It looks like a ridiculous amount of fun and is definitely the main reason why I’m looking to buy a Wii-U this year
Be sure to grab at least one of our top four most anticipated title for 2015 without having to sell your property. And do pay a visit to King Price, with all the new games coming out, you’re going to need to save in other areas.

I really get that feeling that some type of DRM is gonna be on The Witcher 3, but dont know what yet.
ToshZA
January 20, 2015 at 15:17
Nah, CDPR won’t put DRM on their game. If it’s sold through Steam then those restrictions apply, but retail and off their website won’t have any DRM attached.

But what if you want a boxed The Witcher 3 with DRM(steam) how does one classify that?
ToshZA
January 20, 2015 at 15:18
Wishful thinking?
Or a double purchase.
Or you can add a non-steam game to your library for those times you want to just fake it?
Corrie
January 20, 2015 at 15:27
One does simply not fake DRM :p , I did a double dip for Witcher 2 when it when cheap on steam, still Now Since Rockstar’s ideology somehow prevents them from understanding that with no steam on disc means those files are available to all those pirates who’ll get it before the paying customers,That is the one feature I like is that atleast if people download the pirated version they’ll only get to play it when those who have bought it have had their pre loads and installs done for the encryption keys or decrypted files
YOU SEE DEVELOPERS THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON’T PUT DRM ON YOUR GAMES,YOU MAKE YOUR CONSUMERS MAD
ToshZA
January 20, 2015 at 15:28
LOL.
Well I bought the collectors for TW2 retail, then got it for free during the GoG Fall sale – just for the digital backup.
Corrie
January 20, 2015 at 15:31
But wait you could’ve gotten a free copy age’s ago,GOG allows you to redeem your copies of Witcher 1 and 2 for free, did that and never bothered about GOG sale
ToshZA
January 20, 2015 at 15:31
O_O

Corrie
January 20, 2015 at 15:49
Lol it’s okay now you know :p
Ryanza
January 20, 2015 at 15:39
Why you in a race with the pirates to see who plays the game first. Just be happy to play the game.
And DRM has nothing to do with stopping pirates.
Corrie
January 20, 2015 at 15:48
I wouldn’t consider it a race, I’d consider it a slap in the face, as a paying customer you should be given the opportunity to experience the product YOU paid for not the product that others that didn’t pay get to experience before you and then spoil it
I understand and respect that Piracy doesn’t impact sale but it does annoying the living crap out of me if I am buying a game and feel like why did I do so if others that didn’t are experiencing it before me, not so that they can test it and see what bugs or performance is like, for all means even if I develop a product I understand Piracy but at least make those who purchase it feel like their getting their intended product
Ryanza
January 20, 2015 at 15:50
Don’t concern yourself with what other people do. Just focus on what you do.
Corrie
January 20, 2015 at 16:01
But how can one do that when I don’t have access to the game that I’m paying for that others are playing that haven’t even paid for are enjoying?
In other words must I sit and twiddle my thumbs waiting for the product I’ve paid for to release and get here while those who have diddly squat for are playing it?
Ryanza
January 20, 2015 at 16:09
I can’t help you. Dr. Phil might help.

Ryanza
January 20, 2015 at 15:34
You have Steam to buy your Steam games. Leave DRM out of retail.
If you must have a retail copy then buy it plus the Steam copy.
But don’t impose Steam DRM on retail.
Corrie
January 20, 2015 at 15:43
But Steam DRM on Retail is sooooo good….especially since I have a small cap -_-
Ryanza
January 20, 2015 at 15:49
No cap means no game. Let’s not forget about them.
We need the PC gaming community to grow and that means releasing games that all PC owners can buy. Not just internet users.
Corrie
January 20, 2015 at 15:57
I understand where your coming from but with everything becoming more connected it means that for anything to grow it needs data, we’ve moved from an age of not having the speeds to do so(never mind our current state of bandwidth)
Also look at it this way without said DRM like steam it results in you having to find patches and updates it means manually backing up your saves, the fact is the DRM that you oh so hate saved the PC community, steam is the sole reason that devlopers have seen the potential in PC gaming.
I understand the risk that steam itself could implode but also that why think of the negative of the future when the positives are in the present , cheap games among Steamworks
Ryanza
January 20, 2015 at 16:07
Becoming more connected doesn’t mean that the whole world has internet lines installed to their homes.
So you can’t just cut off people from buying games and say tough luck.
There was not nothing before Steam and Steam didn’t help the PC community. Steam DRM cut off a lot of people. Death of PC gaming. Sales were shit for a long time. Sales is still shit at retail. Steam took it’s small internet community and grew from there. Recent years Steam only got to the place where PC gaming was before Steam. So think of all those years that’s been wasted that could have seen major growth. And where did that growth go to, consoles. And now they plan to DRM consoles. lol. The gaming crash is coming.
Corrie
January 20, 2015 at 16:23
“Steam DRM cut off a lot of people”
Actually how is that possible if Steam has 100million users?, I mean that’s more than what all the consoles have?, it may have cut off some people but with the amount of free WiFi hotspots and that it means anybody can still set up a steam game easily, I was exactly like you when I first started gaming and didn’t have a cap I despised DRM but after gain some data I’ve seen a great reason why PC is truly above all: the price of games is so much cheap be it retail or steam
And now they plan to DRM consoles
They’ve always had DRM :it was called having a disc in the console
I’m not a steam fanboy, , but I’ve grown to love the use of it
This topic is a very too sided approach and for anybody wanting to play on PC needs to understand that they need internet, obliviously in your circumstances it’s a bit problematic but I survive on a vodacom 5+5 GB every month so that’s gotta count for something
Ryanza
January 20, 2015 at 16:38
I should have created more than 5 Steam accounts and I’m sure there has been lots of people who will create an account per game.
Steam concurrent users are usually between 4 and 8 million, spiking at times. But I highly doubt that Steam has ever seen 100 million concurrent users. And it’s mostly just Dota 2 players.

I’m “meh” for all of the games mentioned. First of all because I only have old-gen and not new-gen and secondly I have a wait and see approach towards anything game related. I rather think a game is going to suck and be pleasantly surprised than the other way around. So far I haven’t been that much surprised.
