As you already know by now, Oculus VR has been acquired by the evil overlords at Facebook, sending some in to a state of shock, others in to one of anger and revulsion, and others, like Mojang’s Notch, running for the hills. We also know that Sony’s working on its own VR tech, currently codenamed Project Morpheus. There may be a new challenger in the Virtual Reality Arena: Razer.
After Notch publically shied away from further collaboration with Oculus on account of hi aversion to Facebook, Razer’s CEO Min-Liang Tan reached out that Scandanavian fellow with a beard, hat, and far too much money.
@notch perhaps we can help out. Will be in touch.

It certainly seems to suggest that Razer’s working on its own VR…which I hope isn’t the case. It starts suggesting that certain games will be proprietary to certain manufacturers, which I think would instantly be the death knell for the whole Virtual Reality revolution gimmick. Without standards, there’s just no way VR can ever really catch on. If it is true though, expect Razer’s VR solution to have a stupid, “edgy” name like CobraDeathVisor, or SnakeScreen.
Of course, that’s exactly what Steam’s Virtual Reality SDK – which is currently in beta – aims to do.
“As of the most recent Steam Client Beta steam now supports an experimental VR mode,” Valve’s Joe Ludwig said of the beta. “If you own an Oculus Rift dev kit you can try it out by starting Steam with “-vr” on the command line. Then press the Big Picture button to enter Big Picture + VR mode.”
Valve’s got its own VR tech, which is reportedly superior to the oculus rift – only they’ve said they won’t be releasing it to the public.

Have you seen the new MSSA websites?
There’s 2 of them now.
http://www.mssa.co.za/ looks like it might look OK within the next 6 ~ 7 years.
http://www.mindsportssa.freeservers.com/ on the other hand should just be deleted and rebuilt from scratch.
