If you’re even remotely fond of Sci fi, you’ve probably watched Joss Whedon’s firefly, a wonderful, Chinese-infused Western space drama. Here’s the good news; it’s coming back. Here’s the bad news: It’s coming back as a videogame. Wait! It gets worse.
It’s going to be a mobile, online game – and will be headed to iOS and Android devices, developed by QMXi and Spark Plug Games. No gameplay has been shown, but here’s a teaser.
Andy Gore, CEO of QMXi said of the announcement, “At QMx, we know firsthand how great and powerful a franchise Firefly is and how mighty the Browncoats are.
“It has always been our mission to bring the Verse to life for our customers in every way possible. The idea of creating an interactive experience where fans can have their own Firefly adventures — well, that’s just too shiny for words.”
Matt McMahon, VP of mobile for Fox Digital Entertainment thought it prudent to add that:
“We are thrilled to be partnering with QMx on Firefly Online.
“QMx has a long and successful history with Firefly and we couldn’t think of a better partner to make a truly innovative game that will stand up in the Verse and to its passionate fans.”
There’s also no mention of any Joss Whedon Involvement. Fans have been clamouring to have Firefly return…but not like this. Not Like this.

I was alright with it returning as a video game because it had potential. Then I read on mobile and now I’m not so thrilled anymore 🙁

“…not so thrilled anymore” ? You’re lucky. When I read that i realised there is no god, or if there is one he hates us/ uses a mac…

Heh nah, there’s a G_D, & He loves us very much, and wants us to be happy. Just consider things like whiskey, coffee, the bunnychow., and boobs – there’s your proof. Especially the boobs.
I do, however, wonder about His sense of humour at times……

I’ll just do with this one like I did with movies that had bad sequels, pretend they were never made
I will not mention what they were for the sake of my own safety
