I seriously don’t understand Battlefield: Hardline. After playing through both offered beta events, the only thing that really stands out is how familiar it all feels. Hardline’s cop vs. robber skin does nearly nothing to mask that fact that it’s still a war-themed shooter, and I’m hoping the campaign does something different to address that. At least you’ll get to see for yourself early if you’ve got EA Access.
The Xbox One exclusive subscription offers limited timed trials to new EA games, and Hardline is no different. If you’re a subscriber and have pre-ordered the game, you’ll be able to get a full ten hours’ worth of game time in, a week before launch. That’s a chunk of play time that you can spend on both single-player and online multiplayer, with all progress carrying over.
EA Access also offers 10% off your purchase of the game, which translates to a free month of EA Access if you were planning on buying the game either way. So essentially you’re getting a bit of a head start for pre-ordering, which isn’t too bad if you’ve been looking forward to the title ever since its delay last year.
And if you’re a Battlefield fan, you’re probably going to feel right at home with Hardline, which launches on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC next month. Check out some new gameplay in the EA Access trailer below, along with a neat Big Hero 6 rip off at the end.

10 hours is massive? Then why the hell were people moaning about The Order 1886?

I did not Order this nor did I Order that 😛

The game is dull, at least that’s the biggest problem I read about.

fanboys poking fun at The Order. Before people played the whole game. Afterwards the gameplay was just another thing the could make fun about.

And has no replayability.

As in, 10 hours of the whole game before it’s released. Not that the whole game is 10 hours.

I am aware of that. But if 10 hours is massive, then by very definition The Order is massive.

Just long enough to complete the single player twice 😛
Kensei Seraph
February 26, 2015 at 12:08
That’s more than enough time to finish the single player and then cancel your pre-order when you realise the MP has yet to finish it’s alph*cough* beta phase.

The SP looks like fun. The launch as with most MP heavy titles will be interesting. Especially if the pull it of without a hitch. Then again, how many people are going to buy this?

I figure that he won’t and it will be stuck there perpetually.
At least then the devs will realise that they need to do something better than a reskin to get sales.

I’m yet to catch the hype around this game. It’s just not intriguing me at all at this stage.

After getting a good taste of Arma 3, I will not easily go back to COD of BF.

I must be one of the few who can’t wait for this. I really, really enjoyed the beta. Might just fire up my ps3 and get some Bf3 in while I wait, but that feels like going back to an old girlfriend.

I also enjoyed the beta. The hotwire game mode is just insane. I like the BF4 style classes and needing cash to buy. I hjust hope there will be more weapons to choose from. Found that a little limited.
Fnuik
February 26, 2015 at 13:15
Yeah saw there are not that many guns, but to be fair, I usually get a gun that works for me, usually one of the early guns, and stick with it.
I never played BF4 so this feels like a brand new BF game for me, not like a expansion like some say.
I don’t really get the hate people throw at games. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. Cant see why it’s necessary to post about your hatred all the time.
But people love to have something to moan about, so I guess If it makes them happy so be it.
Marcus
February 26, 2015 at 13:20
I like that people share what they think. I don’t always agree but it’s good to know what others think of a game. I played or still playing BF4 and did not find Hardline to be a DLC. It looks, reacts and sounds a lot different then BF4.
I’m exited for this game, can’t wait to play ‘you shall not pass” – Neebs gaming.

How is 10 Hours massive??
Marcus
February 26, 2015 at 13:14
In the gaming world; it’s not. 10 hours of forced gay sex, that is massive… So 10 hours of any COD game is massive! *runs*

I’ve got a bad feeling ’bout this game… Like it’s gonna be boring, the same run n’ gun format through every level 🙁

February 26, 2015 at 13:43
There will also be a lot of drive n’ gun to go with the running 😉

I’m still unsure about this one. I played a bit of the beta on the xbone, but it didn’t have legs – or at least I didn’t feel like it caught my attention.
