Let’s get down to business! To take over, the gaming world! Did they send me Skylanders, when I asked for Disney Infinities? You’re the most apathetic bunch that I ever met, but you can bet before we’re through, mister I’ll make a Disney fan out of you!
If you recognised the horribly butchered lyrics above, then congrats! You’ve probably seen Mulan a bunch of times. And if you’re a fan of both that film and Disney Infinity, then you’re in luck, as it looks like the Chinese warrior will be headlining the Disney wave of Infinity additions this year. That’s according to a leak from Chinese retailer Taobao via Eurogamer, who accidentally revealed that a new Mickey Mouse, Olaf from Frozen and Minnie Mouse were on the way.
More figures were also revealed, including Tron: Legacy’s Sam and Quorra, as well as the entire cast of emotions from the upcoming Pixar film Inside Out. And according to sources over at Polygon, it looks like the Star Wars angle for Disney Infinity this year is a go. It all makes sense of course. Last year saw Disney Infinity focus primarily on capes and spandex with Marvel Superheroes in the 2.0 addition, that included a wave of Disney originals as well.
The big question here however? The fact that the packing for these new figures mentioning that they aren’t compatible with previous versions of Disney Infinity. Disney of course, has declined to comment and has asked several websites to remove the images. Which shows that they’ve clearly never ever heard of the Streisand effect.

Is it just me or does that Minnie Mouse look… incredibly angry?
Or maybe just pure evil incarnate.

So let me get this straight (please correct me if I am wrong), you purchase a game and you use these toys to play right? Each one of these trinkets cost money, so its kind of like physical dlc?

Never thought of it like that, but yeah. You are on the spot. And honestly, they aren’t cheap either. Too expensive to my taste. And besides, I like collecting figures, but I prefer them bigger than these.

It’s a disgrace I’ve had to buy both playset are there not compatible and looks like I’ll have to buy a third one. But what will top it off for me is if they don’t make playset outta paired figures.
