The first Dishonored had its problems, sure, but skulking about in Dunwall was quite an incredible experience. Unleashing Corvo’s powers from the shadows, blinking in and out of existence and stabbing people in the face is always a delight. Naturally, we’re looking quite forward to Arkan’s impending sequel, which doubles up on the number of playable characters. You’re now able to play through the game as Emily, adding another layer (and probably another two play-throughs) to the game.
Set for release on November 11, Dishonored 2 is now gold – not that that’s a particularly meaningful term these days.
“Prepare for your visit to Karnaca and get ready to take back what’s yours with Emily Kaldwin and Corvo Attano,” says Bethesda. “Will you choose a stealthy, non-lethal approach? Or will you create chaos and leave a trail of blood and bodies in your wake? Are you going to accept the Mark of the Outsider and battle your foes with the help of otherworldly powers? Or will you reject the Outsider and rely instead on flesh and steel – along with your wits and the environment – to get by?”
Bethesda has also released the specs you’ll need to play the game on PC. Here’s what sort of machine you need to get your sneaking about on:
PC SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum:
- Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit versions); Intel Core i5-2400/AMD FX-8320 or better
- 8 GB RAM; 60 GB free HDD space; NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB or better
- Contains a single disc. Download of additional files from Steam is required to run the game.
- Requires Steam activation.
Recommended:
- Windows 10 (64-bit versions); Intel Core i7-4770/AMD FX-8350 or better
- 16 GB RAM; 60 GB free HDD space; NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB/AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB or better
- Contains a single disc. Download of additional files from Steam is required to run the game.
- Requires Steam activation.
The PC version will – as it should – have advanced graphics settings, including an uncapped framerate, multiple monitor support, adjustable FOV, Ansel and more. While the minimum specs aren’t especially taxing, you’ll need to be backing some Pascal or Polaris power to get the best out of the game.
Remember though that you won’t be seeing any early reviews of the game, as Bethesda has decided to not send out copies of games to critics until a day before release. To maximise pre-order profits, you, the consumer, gets to play it a day before if you pre-order as well.

HTF can an 6/8GB card be “recommended”
Nee moer, sounds like this is unoptimized.
Expect a 6+8GB day one patch more likely

I will wait for reviews to drop. Being Bethesda, I am still hopeful they prove me wrong, right? xD

It’s Not That Odd, really, I Mean, have you seen how it looks, In gameplay trailers they are using Very High Resolution textures, You Need a Lot of Video Memory for that, Remember Shadow of Mordor back in 2014, you couldn’t get the High Res Textures on anything less than a 4GB card, and that game was sparse by comparison.

Also, The Void Engine is based on IdTech 5, Which was Notorious for being a VRam Hog. Look at Rage or Wolfenstein: New Order/ Old Blood.

NMS has opened my eyes, the truth was blinding
Pariah ???
November 2, 2016 at 08:45
Oddly, NMS is one of the games I’ll actually fire up when my new graphics card arrives. I’d like to see what it looks like with actual graphic detail at higher than 600p res XD

November 2, 2016 at 09:37
If they didn’t over-promise and the game sold for $20, I’d have bought it in a heartbeat.
Pariah ???
November 2, 2016 at 09:39
Honestly, the base mechanics and stuff are good. The environments needed to be more varied, and there needed to be more gameplay. All it was really was scan, collect, fly, repeat.

November 2, 2016 at 09:46
I just want a decent game with planetary space travel. But bigger ships would be great too, and some co-op play, of course.

YES.
It looks moer interesting. I also saw Pulsar on Steam. Appeals to the Trekker in me with the co-op ship management.

November 2, 2016 at 08:45
They tainted Space exploration games, Indie devs and showed how meaningless these “going gold” titles are.
Pariah ???
November 2, 2016 at 08:46
No. For me they simply tainted hype and pre-orders.
For some, that was Aliens: Colonial Marines.
We all need to learn, neh?
Ottokie
November 2, 2016 at 08:47
Between Sean and the ARK devs, I am much more cautious around indie games.
Pariah ???
November 2, 2016 at 08:47
Ooh I can finally try ARK too
Dungeon of JJ
November 2, 2016 at 09:31
Don’t bother. ARK is dead. Only the sheeple and fanboys remain online.

Besides, it’s been in my library for over a year now. I’d like to just experience it.
Dungeon of JJ
November 2, 2016 at 09:42
Oh, if you already have it, sure. Then it’s fine. I’m curious to see what it would look like and run like on my new setup, but it’s already uninstalled.
Pariah ???
November 2, 2016 at 09:44
Lol. I like having the cap I do. Just download again, no care in the world. XD
Dungeon of JJ
November 2, 2016 at 09:47
Yea, I also have uncapped, but it’s not worth using the space on my pc, even if I have lots free.
Pariah ???
November 2, 2016 at 09:49
No I have capped. But 300GB’s plus free data 12am – 6pm daily.
Dungeon of JJ
November 2, 2016 at 10:49
I’m actually am switching to that 😀 It’s much better. No shaping problems
Pariah ???
November 2, 2016 at 10:55
Yeah the shaping is the main reason I won’t touch uncapped. Give me my full speed for all uses all the time. 🙂

Console indie games have yet to disappoint. Bought Exile’s End this weekend, had a blast
Pariah ???
November 2, 2016 at 08:53
Honestly, most Indie games don’t disappoint. It’s just certain high profile ones that have.
Hammersteyn_hates_Raid0
November 2, 2016 at 08:56
Also some games on Steam early access…. Valve gives zero f***s about quality control
Pariah ???
November 2, 2016 at 08:58
Well yeah, but if I buy Early Access, I expect to be disappointed, and enjoy the pleasant surprise if I’m not.
2 of the 3 early access games I bought didn’t disappoint. Starbound (which early on had troubles, but it’s a great game now, full release) – and Planet Explorers which, while admittedly small and niche, has grown into a much better game that’s almost ready to release
Dungeon of JJ
November 2, 2016 at 09:34
I’ve bought tons of Early Access games. Only two have disappointed me so far: ARK and Space Engineers.
