Batman: Arkham Origins wasn’t exactly warmly received when it launched last year. Sure, I may have loved the look, story and voice talent behind the game, but the sheer amount of unpolished work on the game which resulted in a ton of bugs, ruined it for me. And don’t expect those bugs to be patched anytime soon.
Over on the Arkham Origins forum, community manager Mercury explained that Warner Bros. Montreal were working more on upcoming DLC, with zero efforts being directed to a new patch.
“The team is currently working hard on the upcoming story DLC and there currently are no plans for releasing another patch to address the issues that have been reported on the forums,”Mercury said. That doesn’t mean that Warner Bros Montreal isn’t aware of these issues. But they aren’t exactly working on fixing them up either:
If we do move forward with creating a new patch, it will try to address the progression blocking bugs for players, not the minor glitches that do not prevent one from continuing to play.
The issues that are not progression blockers will unfortunately no longer be addressed. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused for some of you, and want to thank you for having been patient.
I reviewed the game last year on PlayStation 3, and found numerous bugs that produced everything from strange effects, extreme ragdoll physics and game-crashes when I tried to fast-travel. Original Arkham developer Rocksteady however, has hinted that they’re working on something new for new-gen consoles.
My money is on a Suicide Squad game.

Why must we spend money fixing a product, that we cannot charge you for, when we can be making more DLC for Randelas….

Sounds like waiting for the Platinum version of the GotY edition might be a good idea.

I would not be surprised at all. I’m pretty sure there’s someone working at some publisher who’s trying to figure out a way to make people happy to pay for patches.

You’re not patching the damaged game because you’re too busy making DLC for the damaged game. O_O
“want to thank you for having been patient.” Erm… seriously? You can only really thank people for their patience after you fix the problem, or tell them you will. When you say it after telling them you’re not going to fix the problem what you’re really saying is, “HAHAHA SUCKERS! WOOHOO! KA-CHING! Now buy our DLC – we put lots of hard work into it & it’s good value!” Fuck you & the horse you rode in on.

I would not have intercourse with that man nor his horse, just for being asswipes for not patching a game that’s broken to begin with…
