Man, I love me some action figures. Not that I unwrap them from their mint on card packaging and play with them or anything. Nope nope, that ain’t me. But damn, some figures are gorgeous, and even though Whiplash here sports the face of Mickey Rooney Rourke, that Mark II armour made me do a double-take.
So what does $399.99 get you? A figure that clocks in at a height of 33cm, LED eyes, a magnetic mask, interchangeable chest armour and light-up whips.
The figure includes a custom sculpt job to recapture the fleeting glory of Mickey Rourke. Mercifully, the collectable also includes a flip-down mask so that you don’t have to sit and actually look at a slightly less plastic version of Rourke.
It’ll be out in 2015, so start saving.

Because it’s not like someone would buy a figurine of Ben Kingsley. Jeez Ironman 3 sucked balls. Did they even read a comic book to find out who the Mandarin is. No, they decided, the country is at war with middle eastern terrorists. Let’s turn Mandarin into that.

Iron Man 2 was already quite lame.

I cannot upvote this enough. Iron Man 1 was great.
Then in Iron Man 2 we got to see manic depressive/alcoholic Tony Stark.
After, in Iron Man 3, we got to see over-stressed/panic attack suffering Tony Stark.
Iron Man 4 will most likely then be 90 minutes of Tony Stark exchanging witty banter with Dr Ruth on her couch…

I like to just pretend that Iron Man 1 is the only movie out. I only bought Iron Man 1 and that’s it. Every new movie they just went bigger and more suits and enemies. But not better.
LOL for IM4

Hell, even the suit in Iron Man one held together better than the suit in Iron Man 3. Why did it keep falling apart? Comic relief? Also Jeff Bridges was the best villain they had so far.

I found Iron Man 1 the best. Iron Man 2 wasn’t really that bad. Still enjoyed it quite a bit, but Iron Man 3… oh hell… I was so disappointed with that movie. How his armour fell apart was just pathetic. Comic relief? MAYBE, but still… its really just pathetic. The Mandarin was even worse. Who on this earth thought the Mandarin was a terrorist? lol Just pure typical enemy of action movies. They should have stuck with the actual Mandarin.

I blame Disney, they probably wanted a more family friendly film.

hmmmm…. family friendly film that involves terrorists… makes sense. lol I get what you saying though. I just think they deviated too far from the villain at least.

I think they did it on purpose. Remember, Killian needed a cover and one that people could easily pick up on. What better than a threat that they are already familiar with?
You need to watch the Marvel one shot “All hail the King”. It kinda completes his story

Right I get that. So use the middle eastern puppet as a cover but when the reveal comes where’s the real Mandarin with his ten rings of power? I was kinda excited when I saw Ben Kingsley when the movie started. I thought it was a fresh take on the main villain as is the case with Bane and Joker. But then he turns out to be a english actor and the real Mandarin was no where to be found I just felt disappointed .

Ummm… Mickey Rooney was born in 1920, and is quite a good comedian for his time… I’m sure you were thinking of Mickey Rourke… 🙂 Honest mistake… The one is 94, and the other looks like he is 94…
