The Lunar Festival for Heroes of the Storm is over sadly. This however, means that Blizzard can now return to their regularly scheduled programming, and first on their agenda is unleashing a new hero. So who exactly are they releasing next?
Why, it’s Xul of course – the Necromancer from Diablo II! We all knew he’d be coming out this week, thanks to my magnificent detective skills*. If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the undead master, well, the wait is finally over. Here’s what he can do…
Buried deep in the Jungles of Eastern Kehjistan, the enigmatic Priests of Rathma dedicate themselves to the challenge of upholding of the balance between chaos and order in Sanctuary, but few of Rathma’s disciples have met the challenge with the skill and vigor of the necromancer Xul. Now having freed Sanctuary from the grips of the Prime Evils, Xul – the Cryptic Necromancer – must rise again to conquer the Nexus!

Spectral Scythe (Q)
Summon a scythe at target location that travels toward you after a 1-second delay, damaging enemies in its path.
Cursed Strikes (W)
Once activated, your Basic Attacks over the next 4 seconds deal damage in a wide arc and reduce the Attack Speed of enemies hit by 50% for 2 seconds.
Bone Prison (E)
After a 2-second delay, root target enemy in place for 2 seconds.
Heroic Abilities
Poison Nova (R)
After a short delay, release poisonous missiles that deal massive poison damage over 10 seconds to all enemies hit.
Skeletal Mages (R)
Summon 4 Skeletal Mages in a line that attack nearby enemies and slow them by 30% for 2 seconds. Lasts up to 15 seconds
When Li-Ming was launched a few weeks back, I started saving up gold to buy her. I’ve only now just got enough for the purchase, but after seeing Xul in action, I’m a bit torn. They both look like so much fun!
What do you think of him? Will you be coughing up the cash to raise the dead?
*I know – basically everybody already knew he’d be released this week.

Would’ve been kaaak funny if you used Xur’s body with Xul’s face as a header image.

Xul or Li Ming, tough choice! It totally depends on your personal playstyle.
Remember Xul has 0 escape, and needs to be in melee range to do his thing, so if you struggle with Heroes like The Butcher/Arthas, I would recommend getting the Wizard first

I’ll probably end up getting them both 😛 which one first though???? Hmmm…

Apparently Xul is pretty OP at the moment, so I’d pick him
