By now I’m sure a lot of you finally have your hands on The Witcher 3, in some way or form, and are busy exploring the grassy outskirts of Novigrad and the dangerous Isles of Skillege. I’ve been neck deep in the game for just under a week, but my excitement wasn’t dampened for the release yesterday. That’s because nearly a year ago I ordered one of the biggest Collector’s Editions I ever have – and I just had to show you what’s inside.
The Witcher 3: Collector’s Edition is colossal. The box itself is nearly as high as some of the chassis boxes I’ve received in the past, and certainly more monumental that any other gaming collector’s box I’ve ever bought. It comes with a bunch of stuff too – which you can see my conveniently unwrapping for you viewing pleasure – or jealousy – below.
The only really heartbreaking part? I didn’t get the physical Gwent deck that was reserved for the Xbox One version of this package. I hate it when stuff like that happens, but I’m pretty ecstatic with everything else. The statue alone is worth the immense asking price – becoming my most treasured, meticulously crafted pice of gaming memorabilia I have ever owned.
If you’ve stayed your credit card and still want one of these, you’re going to have to act fast. Up until last night thought they were actually all gone, but Takealot does seem to have limited stock for every platform (which you can see for PC, Xbox One and PS4). It’s certainly pricey, but if you’re a Witcher fanatic, I can’t recommend it enough.
