Moogles, the adorable furry flying things that have been a staple of the Final Fantasy franchise since Final Fantasy III. However, with the movement in Final Fantasy XV towards a more realistic game, fans were getting worried that Mog might not make an appearance this time. In fact, moogles weren’t planned, but thanks to popular demand they will be making an appearance.
Hajime Tabata did a vote, asking if people wanted to see moogles in Final Fantasy XV. That’s sort of like asking if people want to see chocobos or cactuars, isn’t it? The response was pretty clear.
Hi Tabata here. Congrats Moogle! I’d like to thank everyone that voted. I will think of a fun little way to feature Moogles in #FFXV (1/3)

Importantly, at this stage of development I will not be making a trade off with the other work remaining in order to fit them in. (2/3)

So it won’t be a very chatty Moogle, but will be done with a suitably light level of development work as a fun little #FFXV extra. (3/3)

Okay, so the moogles of Final Fantasy XV won’t be the ridiculously chatty ones we’ve seen in some games, and I’m totally fine with that. It’s just cool that with a small amount of development work that won’t get in the way of the rest of the game, they are able to add the adorable creatures in.
This does mean that there will be yet another design for the flying furry cat things. This just means that Matty has another chance to redeem himself and bring me back a FFXV moogle plushie from whatever expo is selling them next year.

I don’t remember seeing any in FFVIII. Maybe I killed them all very quickly or something.

Was about to mention the Moogle card and the Mogit ability, but some uneducated neanderthal at work decided it would be fun to pull out cables on the router.
But the mog house was part of a mini game 😛
