Star Wars Battlefront Hero System

Star Wars Battlefront is mostly a shooting affair. Whether you’re firing imperial blasters, X-Wing cannons or rapid-fire pistols, you’re often going to be sending some pew at enemies while they send some back. But just like the films, it’s the elegant weapon from a more civilised age that will be a real treat to wield in Battlefront, and it sounds like getting to control the dark, brooding version of Luke Skywalker will be just as fun.

As seen in the E3 gameplay, players will once again be able to pick up tokens across the battlefield and access Hero Characters – ranging from the Sith empowered Darth Vader to the opportunistic bounty hunting of Boba Fett. Luke Skywalker is also part of the limited roster, and he’s going to give lucky players the chance to channel the force when unleashed on otherwise vanilla enemies.

As detailed on a recent Battlefront blog post, Luke will feature fast lightsaber attacks coupled with powerful force pushes. His Force Push will propel far enemies into the air, which can be followed up with a Saber Rush to close the distance and let off some fast light attacks. The Force will also allow Luke to be far more aerobatic than other players – with his movement, jumps and more all augmented with mystical space magic.

But Luke isn’t the Jedi Master that he will be in Force Awakens, calling back to a character that is still deep in his training. That’s probably why you won’t be wiping the floor with enemies at the flick of the wrist. As it was in battlefront 2, control of Hero characters will be a timed affair, with kills extended the amount of time they’re allowed on the playing field.

Luke is, of course, just one of the lightsaber wielding characters that make up the Hero roster, while the likes of Boba Fett and Han Solo contributed to the more range focused, shooter types in the Hero brackets. No matter what side of the moral compass you find yourself on, it sounds like controlling these heroes is going to be a highlight of online play, just like it was all those years ago.

I am making 85 bucks hourly for working online. I never thought that it’s possible but my best friend is making $10k every month by doing this job and she showed me what she does. The potential with this is endless.
