Confirmed – Microsoft introduces the 1TB Xbox One console

XB1 1TB

If there’s one complaint that I have with the current Xbox One outside of the fact that it’s a chuffing data-hungry console the size of a rugby field, it’s that the current hard drive just doesn’t cut it when it comes to building a decent library of games. Coupled with constant updates and a massive operating system that hogs up tens of gigabytes, and you’ll quickly find yourself running out of space on that device. Good news for future adoptees of the console however: It’s putting on some weight.

A new one terabyte model of the Xbox One console will be hitting shelves soon (That we still predicted), that includes the new redesigned controller and its 3.5mm headphone jack. The Xbox One console now also has a “new matte finish”, with some regions being punished given by having Halo: The Master Chief Collection thrown into the bundle as well. Here’s a video of the console you’re used to, being unveiled:

We’ve contacted our local reps for pricing info on the console. We’ll update as soon as we hear back.

I did call the 1 TB model for xmas 2015 last year. Same cycle different gen. Explains why SONY will not allow you to store movies on the HD. They would rather have you shop at the store and use up all that valuable space.

As for those overly expensive Memory cards for the Vita, no more deleting from me.

As soon as a game is traded in I just delete it and move on to the new one. Why would I keep a game in my library that I won’t even play? Also my 3 month old PC already has a 5 game backlog… I don’t understand this at all!!

Because external support is more important than running multi plat games better than your competitor.

You hear a lot of things it seems. Like how Sony also used PC footage for Witcher 3…

          • Pieter Kruger

            June 9, 2015 at 17:25

Well, they did. Also, Ready at Yawn apparently pissed they cant keep The Order IP…….Maybe SOE will do the sequel then…….oh wait…..????????????

          • Hammersteyn

            June 9, 2015 at 17:27

Where’s the link then? The Order was a disappointment. Maybe if they will sell it dirt cheap before the sequel arrives, if there’s a sequel

          • Pieter Kruger

            June 9, 2015 at 17:33

Link? It’s on every other site (just not this one as it can reflect negatively on Sony!????)

          • Hammersteyn

            June 9, 2015 at 17:43

Even more exciting they’re talking about an as of yet unannounced new console…(but again, you won’t read it here as it might be considered competition for Sony!????)

So a studio is going multi plat, whoopdi do!! All(or most of) the Bone’s games are going to be available on PC… Now that is multi plat to the max! If they release the time game(keep on forgetting its name) on PC, then I will probably never own the Bone…

I won’t need anywhere near 1TB on my PS4. I have more than 300gig memory left on mine right now… And I have played a lot of games on it, almost all the PS+ games as well. Maybe the OS on the PS4 is just a lot smaller than the Bone, or it doesn’t need so many updates?
Also if you are going to use them being second to patenting a 1TB console, then I present you with the Share button… Happy screen capturing for you guys too… Yeah!!

I’ve just been using a USB 3.0 2GB external. Now that controller I want so I can go back to one of my way more comfortable headsets. The headset was my only real problem with what you get in the box. Wish they’d go back to the behind the head design of the first Xbox.
