Become a black dog in Destiny: The Taken King’s premature launch trailer

Disappointed neeson

It’s nothing to be ashamed of, I hear it happens to every man at some point. Destiny’s The Taken King expansion is coming out in two weeks, but Bungie just couldn’t keep the launch trailer contained any longer. So here it is, hitting your screen two weeks early.

It isn’t just about killing a bad guy this time, Guardians. Now Oryx is after you to avenge the death of his son, and it’s going to be brutal. At least, it had better be with an epic song like that. I love that they used “Black Dog” From Led Zeppelin for the trailer; it just feels so fitting.

The hype is real for many fans of the game who have started playing again in the last few months. Prison of Elders and other DLC content has added whole new reasons to keep playing, and The Taken King is guaranteed to boost those player numbers yet again. Have you already pre-ordered the expansion, or will you wait until reviews appear in the wild? I am curious to hear just how much this changes the game; Destiny is already such a different beast from when it launched, I’m curious how Bungie continues to attract and keep players in the months to come.

Now excuse me, I need to go queue up some old school hard rock to jam to today. Destiny has set a tone for this morning and I think I’ve found the necessary fuel to get me through this day.

And TTK is launching without the raid. Raid date is TBD. Launch time of TTK is TBD. For heaven sake, I love Destiny to bits, but hate Bungie more than anything. A company full of trolls

Saw and retweeted a tweet last night from Bungie confirming that they have finished the Raid and it will launch soon after TTK… TTK launch date is 15th of this month!

Problem is we still have no idea exactly what time TTK is going to be available.
As for launch soon after, WTH is soon after. Why all the secrecy. Honestly, Bungie still doesn’t get that all this secrecy they want to badly just makes me want to get the game less in future

well dude it makes sense if you think about it, you won’t be able to run the raid anyways until you level and that will take you some time apperently so what’s the point even releasing the raid straight away. Not to mention it will take you a while to get gear good enough for you to run the raid…

I am not complaining about the raid being released late. My problem is that they always try to keep dates and times hidden. The ultimate form of trolling. We launching the game on the 15th, but you are not allowed to know what time on the 15th.

The raid is done, and is coming. We just cannot tell you when.

        Why?

As for getting to lvl40 and gear and all that. More than likely, I will have at least 1 lvl40 by the Friday after TTK is launched, with gear to run the raid already by then. So releasing the raid same day or a week later would not have impeded my ability to run the raid at all.

Is the cinematic space battles a replacement for the current load screen? Or do we get to control our ships at least?

Controlling the ships a bit in the load screen would be awesome. I would fly into you all the time…
