Project Natal

VG247 have reported this morning that Microsoft has banned all technology from their pre-E3 Project Natal screening.

Which means no live blogging, video or even still pictures of what we will be shown behind closed doors on the Sunday before E3 (How will Nick survive without his iPhone?).

This raises huge questions over the lag that the technology may experience and could be see as an attempt by Microsoft to hide any other issues that the system may still have.

On their behalf Microsoft are claiming that this is technology free event designed for us to enjoy ourselves and images and videos will be provided to us after the event.

I will admit that I am suspicious about the idea but yet at the same time I am looking forward to just relaxing and enjoying the event.

We will bring you all the details of the pre-E3 event on Monday the 14th of June so keep an eye out for that.

That makes me wary, so they’ll provide the press with images and videos? I smell a full diaper folks, and it’s name is Natal.

After any event you are presented with a press pack with images and details so that point doesn’t mean much by itself.

I am wary about the no technology but am heading in with an open mind. I really do hope we are going to be blown away

I hope so Gavin, but I guess we just have to be patient.

I reckon they just don’t want the big reveals from their actual E3 conference leaked before hand.

Either that or Natal is just shit.

Well as soon as they leave the pre-E3 event they can spoil everything so I really don’t think that’s it… It’s not like they can make stop them from talking about it (just taking videos).

I think this is actually a serious issue. I just don’t see what MS are doing. I’m guessing E3 will just be pre-recorded or staged events when using Natal and the pre-E3 event will show some live things – so if anything goes wrong there aren’t any vids of it.

That really is the only thing i can think of…
