We’ve already covered the Gears of War: Judgement Survival Mode and Campaign in quite a lot of detail but those stars you collect in campaign mode aren’t just for bragging. In fact you are going to want to collect at least 40 of them to unlock the hidden Aftermath campaign.

So what is Aftermath?

Aftermath is a mini campaign in Gears of War: Judgement that is set 2 decades later right in the middle of Gears of War 3. In 3 you will remember Marcus and Dom went off and sent Cole and Baird to go find some weapons and Aftermath is that story.

It’s a great link into the Gears story we all know and love and is a great little addition to the title tying the story up in a nice little bow.

What’s even better is that Aftermath is played through Halvo Bay which is the rich area where the professor lived. So in the beginning of Judgement you see it still looking awesome and over the top but by the time you get to Aftermath it is ruined and that change is quite stark.

According to the developers you can finish Judgement with less than 40 stars so if you want to try out Aftermath you will need to put a little effort in. I don’t expect it to be very hard though.

It’s not a huge addition but it does show the love that Epic and People Can Fly have the series and it’s arcing story line.

Yes. This game has that GoW(1) feel written all over it.

I love that fact that you have to UNLOCK it…not DLC, been a while since you could unlock levels or scenarios
