Crackdown coming free to all Xbox Gold members

crackdown

The recently announced “Games with Gold” kicked off and all Xbox Live Gold members were offered Assassin’s Creed 2 available to download for free. The offer has been  met with much derision by gamers as it pales in comparison to the PlayStation+ offerings.

And while the rumoured August offerings aren’t any more recent I am glad that everyone is going to get the opportunity to play one of the very best games on offer on the platform. Crackdown was an incredible experience and if the rumours are true you will be able to download it for free from next week.

And that’s not all, they will also offer Dead Rising which is one of Geoff’s absolute favourite titles of all time and well worth the bandwidth to experience. So before the crush of games start in September try make some time to get into Crackdown and Dead Rising.

It’s a very cool game (even though it’s ancient) just stay clear of the sequel. Crackdown 2 was a cash grab.

OH HELL YEAH!! Saints Row 4 is going to keep this bile-filled old codger away from Lazygamer, and out of Darryn’s sock drawer.

lol, the game came out in 2007. Microsoft releases it now for free – as a lame attempt to emulate PSN+.

Too true. As the article says, what M$ is offering pales in comparison to what one gets on PS+

What is M$ going to release in September for free? Drake of the 99 Dragons?

It’s going to be old and it’s going to be a game you already have in your collection.

    1. The Live servers were never hacked, hence M$ never needed to win back costumers because of a shitty service.

    2. These games, shitty or else, are yours forever.
