Confession time: I never finished Grand Theft Auto V. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever played a GTA title to completion. Somewhere along the line I get really bored – although I do think I should give Los Santos one more shot. And judging by the launch trailer, it’s going to look prettier than ever.
Grand Theft Auto is set to make its current-gen debut next week, with the remastered version of last year’s hit coming to PS4 and Xbox One. The comparisons have been striking, showing that Rockstar has put a lot of work into recreating Los Santos with a whole new level of detail.
And it shows. Not only will Grand Theft Auto V come in its prettiest dress, but there are a host of new features and missions for returning players to tackle. These include some investigation styled missions, which hark back to another Rockstar title that was all about good detective work. Too bad we’re probably not getting another one of those.
I am looking forward to playing as Trevor again though. I found him the most fascinating of the three protagonist, mostly because he was comically tragic and broken in every way possible. All because his daddy wasn’t nice to him as a kid. Poor guy.
Grand Theft Auto V is out for current-gen consoles next week. If you’re on PC you’ll have to wait until next year.

I don’t think car handling has been changed. So all cars should still feel like same and feel like a bad racing game. So it’s not about exploring the city. It’s more about how fast you can drive and not hit into something.
