Every time I hear something new about Assassin’s Creed Unity, I become just that little bit more excited. Odd, because when it was first announced I was filled with little more than apathy. We’ve known for a while that the playable map for the next game would be huge, but we had no idea just how huge it would be. According to a purportedly leaked image, Assassin’s Creed Unity’s Paris is nearly as big as the real thing.
A Reddit user by the name of Skelaa has posted up what appears to be the game’s full map, and it’s actually rather ludicrous how large it is.Check it out:

We knew it would be big. Lesley Phord-Toy, Assassin’s Creed Unity producer, revealed that Unity’s Paris will be larger than the entire land mass in Black Flag.
In previous Assassin’s Creed games, we did Rome and a bunch of other cities, they were a bit cheated in terms of scale.In Paris, the monuments are done in 1:1 because you are able to go inside seamlessly with no loading, and so the actual size of Paris is larger than all of the landmass in AC IV: Black Flag.
If you consider that one in every four buildings will be fully modelled inside and out on a 1:1 scale, I think it’s safe to say that Unity will be absolutely staggering in breadth. It also goes a long way to explaining why Ubisoft is just too damned busy to create female player characters, right? Right.

One would hope that if they are spending this much time on doing the INSIDE that they will with ensuring that the PC version is done properly…
