Win the “Ultimate Luxury Tech Experience” with Tech Paradise 2012

Imagine spending a week away in a luxury villa in Camps Bay, fully kitted with cutting edge technology with 4 of your best mates – living the life of a video gaming Rockstar.

If you’re in Cape Town, that dream could become a reality.

Chaos Computers – who I’m told is one of Cape Town’s premier computer hardware, software  and accessories suppliers (mostly by Chaos Computers) has launched Tech Paradise 2012 – a fancy name for a competition that could see you and a handful of your friends living the good life for a week – with more gaming and entertainment technology and junk food than your body and mind can handle.

Entries to the competition officially opened on 23 March and close just a week and a month later on 30th April  2012 at 9am. The lucky Rockstar of a winner winner will be announced on the 7th of May – and will take up residence of the fancy villa – situated at the foot of the Twelve Apostles on May 16th. That’s not all though. According to Chaos’ boss Riaan Swart,  the winner will bag some permanent prizes as well.

“During Tech Paradise 2012,” he says “we’re not just giving the winner and his/her 4 friends the awesome Villa, amazing toys and technology’s best experience, but also, prizes worth more than R50 000 in total. You’ll also have the bragging rights to say you lived the life of technology’s best!”

Sound intriguing? Enter here.

Oh, this is how it went down for last year’s winners. Pretty damned awesome.

I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
