Titanfall, the next game from the guys who helped turn Call of duty in to the massive multiplayer game it is, could vey well be the next big thing when it comes to multiplayer first person shooters. We’ve had a go at it, and found it to be an insanely fun shooter, but there’s a great deal of apathy towards the game by many.
Much of the dissent comes from the seemingly small 12 player count, which by today’s standards seem a little low. Others are disillusioned by the game not having any single player campaign to speak of. Here then, is some captured video footage of the game’s alpha on Xbox One, which kicked off last week. These videos are already disappearing from the internet following EA flexing its legal muscle, so watch them now, while you still can.
Apparently, the game runs at a buttery smooth 60fps at a less-than-ideal resolution of 720p, which isn’t quite what you’d expect of a “next gen” game on a “next gen” console. Of course, games should be all about how much fun they are, and not their pixel counts – and word from the players leaking the footage of the closed Xbox One Alpha, the game is certainly fun indeed.
and here’s another.
Titanfall Direct Feed Alpha Gameplay Video by All-Games-Beta
It looks and feels a heck of a lot like…Call of Duty at first, but keep watching, and you’ll see how things are different. As for graphics.if you’re disappointed, just know that the alpha is apparently running at 25% of the texture output of the final game, so it should end up looking better once its out. Titanfall is coming to Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC in March.

Peeps….please, I think we need to support this cause…..How exactly can we live in our comfortable little bubble when there are thousands of Rednecks stuck playing broken-ass Battlefield 4 on X1……I’m ashamed of myself….

The aiming is smoother than I thought it would be but still doesn’t match up to a mouse.

If you have a crappy connection to the cloud power & you kill a titan does it make the 56k dial-up connection sound?
