Ubisoft announce HAWX… I get overly excited

I’ll let you in on a secret here, I have always wanted to be a pilot. It was my childhood dream and if it wasn’t for a slightly dodgy right eye I would have been the person defending our country right now.

So lucky for you I am not :), anyway why am I telling you this?

Because Ubisoft has just announced a brand new game called HAWX where you get to step into the most advanced fighting machines in the world.

I know very little about this game apart from that it looks beautiful and it is going to include 4 player co-op action and a 16 player deathmatch option. Which instantly makes it a must have.

Oh and it’s tagged by Tom Clancy which unfortunately doesn’t mean much since he sold his name.

Anyone else spot the glaring similarity to that awesome scene from Behind Enemy Lines?

I also wanted to be a fighter pilot hence my nick Fox1.
Did you guys see the screenshot that was posted? This is gonna be another hit with a Tom Clancy name attached to it.

This game is going to feature over 50 jets and jump-in and jump-out co-op which will be pretty cool.

Flying with the standard controller is going to suck though. They should bring out a joystick and throttle control for this, then I would buy it without thinking twice.

Also wanted to join the airforce, but for… political… reasons I wasn’t accepted.

    SICK!!!!! WOO HOO!!

I HAVE 1 COMPLAINT! HOW CAN YOU SAY:

“Oh and it’s tagged by Tom Clancy which unfortunately doesn’t mean much since he sold his name.”

Not cool, think about it the games probably been in development for a while now! so there’s a good chance that Tom Clancy had a lot to do with it.

@koldFU5iON, yeah maybe I am being a bit harsh but the whole idea of selling a name doesn’t sit well with me.

My personal problem is that every Tom Clancy game has been fantastic and I am worried that the quality is now going to drop….

The quality of RSV2 has already dropped both graphically and in story.

    @koldFU5iOn: Sweet, thanks.

I’m also of the opinion that as we go along, they are just going to stick his name on every second game.

This game is going to suck! 😉

Why else would Ubisoft have to resort to paying $50 million just to keeps it’s only selling point – Tom Clancy’s name.

(just kidding folks, I couldn’t resist)

All I’m saying is that maybe you guys are jumping to conclusions!

    Take for example games like:

    Assassin’s Creed
    Prince of Persia
    Farcry 2
    Settlers

All great games that stand on their own two feet without the help of the Tom Clancy Name on their head.

Easy kold, we’re just ragging on Ubi 😉 Megarom won’t be held accountable and we’ll still buy the good stuff.

Unless Ubi announce Tom Clancy’s Ghost Assassins of Persia 😉
