Titanfall heads into open beta next month

Titanfall

It’s not a good time to be an Xbox One owner. If you’re a fervent believer in the fictional marketing idea known as the console wars, then you might as well wave the white flag right now. That console is getting trumped in the hardware battles, but then again, it’s games which define a machine. Games such as Titanfall which fans are desperate for. And it looks like you’ll be getting a taste of it next month.

French website Xboxygen got their hands on the following images from their local game franchise Zappos, of official posters which bear the date of February 14-19 for an open beta. Here are the images:

Titanfall (2)

Titanfall (1)

According to that info, nine lucky countries will be getting their hands on the open beta for Titanfall. While it’s one of the key games for the Xbox One, Titanfall will also be available on Xbox 360 and PC when it launches.

Gavin and Geoff reckon that it’s still plenty of fun, with the six on six player cap being solid and providing more than enough fun, because giant robots and reasons. The game has been in development for quite a while now, the first from Respawn Entertainment. It’s pure multiplayer action, so while it may find a limited audience here due to the fact that our current network lines are more congested than Geoff’s face, it still looks like damn good fun.

Even if I have to play it on last-gen technology such as the Xbox 360. Truly, no man has ever suffered as much as I have. Titanfall drops out of orbit on March 14.

  1. I have a bad feeling about this game…A Battlefield 4 buggy/broken feeling…

And it will be all YOUR fault, for not properly Beta testing it!

It will be polished but I am in your boat after watching the work model behind FORZA 5. Expect Titan Fail to be raped by pay walls, micro transactions and THE OLD HATED EPISODIC CONTENT that is now called DLC.

On-line DATA Farming, clever, they can pull the plug anytime they want considering how many hits the game is getting. A safe investment making your game ON-LINE only.

I will never ever understand why people would want to BETA test a game… unless its Skyrim or Final Fantasy 14 where the public do not mind paying full retail to test the game 😛

Its like going to a films editing room and watching all of the cuts before watching the film.
Whats the point? Talk about spoilers.

      Agreed… Kinda.
I totally get what you are talking about. It does take away from the first time starting up the final game and figuring it all out, but what I do like about open Beta is that it gives me the chance to see if I could enjoy the game or not before I actually buy the thing. If I have already pre-ordered it, then I couldn’t be asked about playing the beta… But if I’m unsure if I will get it, then I’ll def be keen to test it out a bit

I get what you are saying but Titanfall is not exactly a game with a story line that could be spoiled. I think it goes as deep as: My 5 buddies and I shoot y’all with my gun until we get a mech and then giant robots. Not exactly spoiler territory.

I don’t believe you. I would rather lick Jabba the Hutts nipples than eat LG spores.

Still not sold on this game… But then again, I’m more in it for the SP experience… So just dunno whether or not I’ll enjoy this.
