Telltale still bringing winter this year

Telltale have been super busy lately. They wrapped up the stellar seasons of The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us this year, while simultaneously working on debut seasons for Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands as well. The latter is still only coming out next year, but you want have to wait that long for a trip to the Iron Throne.

Telltale has confirmed that the first episode of their Game of Thrones adventure title will still launch before the end of the year. The news was confirmed by Telltale community and PR specialist Laura Perusco over Twitter yesterday.

That’s extremely surprising, especially since Telltale has hardly shown any footage of the game. In fact, we know more about next year’s Tales from the Borderlands than Game of Thrones. Telltale has only teased things here and there in the past, but nothing about the game has been locked down.

Personally, this is the one Telltale project I’m least excited about. They proved, once again this year, that they can tell alternate tales of their own. But I’m just not that interested in more Game of Thrones outside of the TV series and books.

Is it just me though? Are you excited to see what Telltale has in store for one of the biggest franchises in recent history? Do you even enjoy Telltale’s games?

I quite liked their interpretation of Jurassic Park, with its “retro” graphics. It was enjoyable to screw up the QTEs and watch your character get eaten.

I’m more keen for the Borderlands game. I loves me some good humour in a game. I started The Stanley Parable over the weekend & I was laughing my ass off.
