Splinter Cell Blacklist is looking pretty epic

I was a huge fan of the original Splinter Cell titles but I have to admit I started losing interest and this latest title hasn’t really been getting me excited, that was up until this morning.

Ubisoft has released a brand new trailer showcasing what it is calling the Chicago Mission and they have jam packed the full 3  minutes with a huge array of different gaming mechanics and locations.

If I had to describe the video and gameplay in one sentence I’d have to go with

“Sam Fischer imitates Bruce Wayne in Arkham City while taking on the professionalism of The Hitman while still keeping the original Splinter Cell Appeal”

So take a look and let me know what you think.

Cool, I’ve always liked Splinter Cell, but never got around to playing the last 2. I loves me my sneaky games.

Double Agent was quite crappy. But the series is just awesome though. Chaos Theory was great.

Conviction was great. Some points the story was stalling but lots of revelations.

The last splinter cell I played was Choas theory, missed double agent and conviction. But I did techincally play a little conviction at a friends house but never finished it.

This is looking really good though 🙂

Afraid I’m on the fence with this one. This trailer does look muchos cool! But I dunno – it just doesn’t have that appeal like the previous Splinter Cells. Even Sam’s voice has changed for this one. Might just be a ‘wait for a special and get it cheap’ kind of game.

Conviction also had lots of changes and many die hard Splinter Cell fans hated it. I’m just hoping this one is at least in the range of Conviction.

I only played SC along time ago, so I don’t have the baggage of previous version to draw from.

That being said, I’ve pre-ordered this, why? Because I’m quite excited about the Co-Op missions and especially the revamped Spies vs Mercs multiplayer. It looks very polished and alot of fun.

At last!! A game focusing new gameplay and AI elements instead of just graphical advances…
