Before anyone says anything please note this is marked as a rumour and there has been no official confirmation from anyone anywhere….

Apparently someone over at the Neogaf forums has received a memo stating that the Xbox 360 version of Rockband will be released on the 22nd of May. The prices will be as follows

However as exciting as that is the one bullet point that is obviously going to get everyone talking is the following

So is this yet another delay for a PS3 title, and a huge one at that? I have to say I am not in the least suprised. Remember I posted a story about Rockband sponsoring an event at the end of March? Where I said

I would be quite happy to put money on an announcement of a PS3 delay before June

Even our resident 360 support doobiwan didn’t believe that this would happen.

Or should we go further back until the 6th of February where I ran a story saying the PS3, PS2 and Wii versions are going to be delayed until September (Spring)?

Now all we can do is sit back and wait for an official comment from EA Games, I wouldn’t hold your breath though as I can imagine Sony are doing everything in their powers to ensure a simultaneous release.
