Resistance, Ratchet and Clank Developers Going Multiplatform? Getting There

Resistance, Ratchet and Clank Developers Going Multiplatform? RC360 Lazygamer

Having created games for nothing but the Playstation range of consoles since their inception in 1994, you’d imagine Insomniac games would be firmly under Sony’s banner.

Well that’s not the case – they’re decidedly third party – and if the rumour mill is right, they’re looking to branch out and become multiplatform developers.

According to one of IGN’s “trusted sources,” the developer – who’ve had a long and prosperous relationship with Sony – will begin developing games for the Xbox 360.

Unfortunately for 360 owners that doesn’t mean that Resistance or Ratchet and Clank will be making their way to your console of choice any time soon, as they’re both published by Sony. If it’s true though, I’m looking rather forward to see what sort of multiplatform magic they can conure, having proven themslevs to be superlative developers.

Maybe they’re going to make something along the lines of R&C for other platforms.

Either way its great news, as a Sony Fan(boy) I can proudly say that they have done us proud, and Im sure they will uphold their high production values and keep up the excellent graphics one they start making multi plat games.

Listen please stop reporting misinformation, insomniac have answered this rumour 3 months ago. They not going multiplatform go to their official website and check out reliable sources please stop propagating lies they said they not going multiplatform but were pondering it.

And you guys have the balls to give ff13 a 7.9 out of 10 when its clearly the 4 th best ff of all time after 7,8,9 im 15 hours in and im in love with the game and the music.,

So IGN, one of the largest gaming sites on the planet, isn’t a reliable source? This latest rumour comes out of GDC, just last week.

Also, as you think FF 7, 8 and 9 were better than 6, your opinion holds little merit. 7.9 is by no means a bad score at all – and I actually really enjoyed FFXIII, but it *just* fell short of being great. The story is fantastic, the music is sublime, the cutscenes and beautiful, and the new polished ATB system is the best the franchise has ever seen – it’s just that the /game/ tying those aspects together was lacking.

Clanks eye looks awesome on your image!
I hope they do bring R&C to the Xbox. The more people
that get to play this awesome franchise the better.

LOL, when did you start playing Final Fantasy? 7,8,9 the best? 4 and 6 disagree.

I think those are owned by Sony so we won’t be seeing it on the 360. If they do go multiplatform, it will be with a new IP. Which is actually something to look forward to. I love their work.

This is exactly what excites me, the prospect of something new, and for all.

I stand corrected, but I think the last new IP from Insomniac Resistance, and that was back in 06 as a PS3 launch title.

Insomniac owe us something fresh, and Im hoping its something along the lines of R&C.

I resent that! FF8 is clearly the best FF to date. Screw remaking FF7. FF8 would blow everybodys mind
