Christmas, a time for family, friends and goodwill towards your fellow man. Well testicles to that! It’s also a fantastic time for commercialism, much to the dismay of Buddha, and deals are out there, just waiting to be taken advantage of. Here’s a few specials that you can use and abuse.

Local retailer BT Games is having their regular Christmas sale from 14-24 December, and amidst the usual stocking stuffers, there’s a few gems and bargains hidden here. Dishonoured, Far Cry 3, Hitman Absolution and several other recent games are sitting around the R400 mark from tomorrow, so grab one of them while stocks last.

On the cheaper side, Lollipop Chainsaw and Heavy Rain will cost you 200 Randelas if you need something for your Playstation 3, while several other hardware bundles will also be on the shelves.

If you’re looking for some next-gen gaming, then here’s one for you: A PS Vita for R2000, courtesy of Incredible Connection, and only on their online site. It may have a terrible catalogue of games right now, but we’d be lying if we didn’t say that it’s a fantastic piece of hardware anyway.

If none of these more current-gen titles appeals to you though, and you find yourself wishing for something on PC instead to tickle those nostalgia bones, then don’t forget to head over to GOG.com, where they’re having a 75% sale on selected games, right now. You’ve only got a few hours left though, so move your asses.

Meanwhile, Eurogamer has picked up on the following Neogaf thread, which details a massive Xbox Live sale on the way. These will probably be more for the US and UK accounts, but we’ll update as soon as we hear from our trusty reps on this one. Here’s the list so far of what to expect (Big thanks to Milni06 for this one).

Yay, the Walking Dead for dirt cheap! Now I can finally play it, so that Yolanda can stop threatening to turn me into a super-eunuch!
