The problem is you may as well replace the Russians with Arabs in that scene. There is always this pervasive undertone in American cinema, media, entertainment about the 'other' attacking there freedom. While it may just be a game, it still entrenches popular ideologies with a complete lack of the understanding of real world current affairs. Apologies if anyone finds this offensive. It's a western produced videogame featuring Russia (yet again)in a bad light. If it's not some Arab nation or China, the Russian Bear is always typecast as the villain. Sure you can blame the cold war for all of this, but it's all so clichéd, that's why I like to dust off Redneck Rampage every once in a while, at least you're shooting, front teeth lacking, mullet sporting Eemeericcaanss.I wish there was a game where I could play as an Arab terrorist. I mean if I can play as a prostitute-killing, car-hijacking, cop-shooting criminal, why can't I be an Arab terrorist in a game? Just imagine the premise, you're Achmed or whatever, and the reason you hate the US is <insert the usual tear jerking story, involving a stray smart bomb, or maybe you're just an expat who have seen the horrors of Western imperialism, and now armed with a battle plan you seek revenge...)
