I just can’t get enough of Gearbox’s Borderlands, so this bit of news puts a smile on my face. Mikey Neuman has been tweeting recently about a Borderlands surprise, but that surprise may have been spoiled by ps3trophies.org, who’ve leaked 5 new trophies for the game. Trophies that appear to be related to some new DLC.

Here’s the list of new accolades for your digital mantelpiece :

Bronze
• Small Tournament – Completed the lesser challenge in all 3 coliseums

Silver
• Hell-Burbia – Completed the larger challenge in the Hell-Burbia coliseum
• The Angelic Ruins – Completed the larger challenge in The Angelic Ruins coliseum
• The Gully – Completed the larger challenge in The Gully coliseum

Gold
•Big Tournament – Completed each of the larger challenges in all 3 coliseums

Looks  like the new DLC will be adding arena challenges, hopefully filled with large, hard to kill bastards. I hope there’s more to it than just that though. The self-contained Zombie Island DLC was so well crafted that simple arenas would seem like a bit of a cop-out. Unfortunately it seems the new DLC will not be including the oft-requested level-cap increase – but considering the last DLC’s focus on zombies, if we all wish hard enough maybe this one will have us killing vampires. Preferably the sort that sparkle in the sunlight.

There’s no word on when the DLC will be available, but if you’re a console player itching to return to Pandora, take consolation in the fact that Pc gamers are still waiting for the first DLC.
