Modern Warfare 3’s scarcely been out a day, and already people are being douchebags online – by ruining others’ online experience through cheating. Well, if you’re one of those idiots, I’ve got some bad news – because papa wag vir jou. According to Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling, the mighty banhammer has already started swinging.

Apparently being a complete dickwad online has some real consequences this time around, and they might be banned from the game permanently.

So what could happen to you if you do get caught exploiting glitches or cheating?

Remember folks – it’s not nice to ruin other people’s online experiences.

I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
