Japanese developer Suda 51 is quite possibly mental. His games tend to be off-the-wall, heavily stylised and ultimately awesome – and Lollipop Chainsaw doesn’t look like it’s going to break that mould. A game about a Chainsaw and severed-head toting cheerleader who’s tasked with dispensing the zombie menace that plagues her former high-school…what the hell kind of drugs is this dude on?
Plenty – and they might be the psychoactive, hallucinogenic sort as this latest trailer to the game testifies. It’s focused – in a cheesy grindhouse style – on some of the bosses you’ll face as the skimpily-dressed, undead-killing Juliet. Bosses like Zed, the punk-rockin misfit; Vikke, the king of Viking metal; Josey, the master of funk; Mariska, the queen of Psychedelia and well…words aren’t enough.
