Is Bully 2 on the Way? Getting There
   November 11th, 2009 clock image 3:00 pm

Bully

Rockstar as a whole are a rather busy bunch – they’ve just put out GTA : Episodes from Liberty City, all while working on Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire, Max Payne, and quite possibly, the next GTA. It seems they may have something else coming to, if the words of composer Shawn Lee are to be taken at face value.

Lee, you see, scored Bully, Rockstar’s sandbox take on school life. When The Gaming Liberty asked him if he’d be scoring anything else soon, he responded with “Yes. It looks like I will be doing the soundtrack for Bully 2 in the not so distant future…"

I may be setting myself up for digital crucifixion here, but I’d be way, way more excited for a new Bully game than the next GTA. In fact, I still prefer the 2006 Playstation 2 game to GTA IV. Despite the obvious technical advances that GTA IV’s engine allows, the charm exuded by Bully, and it’s more focused nature drove me to play it more; I even got the re-release on 360 and played through it again. I couldn’t put more than 15 hours in to GTA IV before becoming bored.

Are any of you excited as I am at the prospect of a new game in the series? If so, what would you like from Bully 2?

I played GTA IV for about 6 hours. then lent to a friend and his car go stolen. and well i didnt really care.

granted i did ask him for R500… but still i wouldnt even think about buying GTAIV again.

The Xbox360 version of Bully had some bad issues for me, such as a very bad framerate and the game freezing. It was a very good game though, but some of the characters were a bit annoying for me

I feel absolved. I mean, I’ve always kinda liked GTA and I’ve always kinda invested time into them, but I’ve never really gotten lost in it. One of those things that isn’t particularly fun, but still compelling.

The only GTA I ever played beginning to end was GTA III and that was fantastic – if for no reason other than thinking “this can be done with videogames?! the whole time through.”

I loved the bully game, but i have to be honest, there were some flaws. The game wasn’t half as long as i thought it would be. The maker of the Bully franchise should definitely make it longer. The Graphics should be nothing like they were for the Xbox 360 version, really Bright Orange. I’m not in any way dissing the Bully games, in fact Bully was probably THE best game i have EVER played for PS2. So all i have to say is Dear Rockstar Vancouver, please make the story for bully longer.
