Is Black Ops 2 going to be called Blast Furnace?

Activision are poised to announce the name and release date of their 2012 Call of Duty title on the 1st of May and with just 7 days to go they have secured a new domain name (www.theblastfurnace.com) and filed a trademark application for “The Blast Furnace”

The trademark application doesn’t have any more detail other than it covers “Computer Game Software” and “Entertainment services, namely, providing an on-line computer game”

So is this another Call of Duty game or is the timing just a coincidence? Call of Duty: The Blast Furnace is quite a mouthful so maybe it’s just an entirely new game.

According to some research done by fusible the domain name itself was purchased for between $10 000 and $20 000 so Activision obviously really wanted this name.
