Well indirectly Valve is like a Microsoft 1st party developer. They feel comfortable of the platform their working on, and dont see any reason to go multiplat just yet.

Now we all know its not easy for me to just “grow up” :silly: But hey…. it’s just my opinion. I think its kinda cool that some companies only support certain platforms…. it is what makes those specific platforms so special. Now how fun would it be if all the platforms (PC, Xbox, PS, Wii) had the same games and nothing more…? There is a reason you buy a Wii or Xbox or PS…. you dont go buy an Xbox because it has Uncharted, you dont go buy a PS because it has Gears Of War, you dont go buy a Wii because it has Command and Conquer 3 and you most certainly do not go buy a PC because it has LittleBigPlanet. So say what you must, but the world wouldn’t be any more better (in my eyes) if all the platforms had the exact same games… :pouty:

It’s a corporate trolling exercise. He’s trying to get Valve to respond in an unprofessional manner so that he can say something like: “Aha! I knew they were bastards! LOL!”

Which IMHO, just isn’t going to happen. Valve are thinking about their publishing angles, this is good publicity for them: The more they just keep doing cool stuff and ignoring the namecalling, the better they look.

I think it’s fine for gearbox to call them out. With the recent surge in PS3 popularity Valve really should be making games for the PS3…
