November is the new October. Most of October’s biggest games made the short, month long trip down delay lane during this year, but one game that has always kept it’s place is Far Cry 4. Mountains, gliders and weaponised elephants, Far Cry 4 is looking deliciously crazy, and that’s before you even get your hands on the meaty weaponry.

The Himalayan mountains are a dangerous place, so you’re going to need to regularly visit your friendly neighbourhood arms dealer to stay leader of the pack. He’s got familiar weaponry, such as the Vector sub-machine gun, mortars and the smile inducing flamethrower. Those are great and all, but what about some of the more exotic fire[power?

Exotic weapons such as tigers, elephants and swooping eagles of doom. Seriously, Far Cry 4’s best weapons are the ones you indirectly control – tossing bait for all manners of wildlife to follow and murder anyone in their path. It’s what made the guard posts in Far Cry 3 so fun to watch from afar, and it’s awesome to see the system expanded in this year’s sequel.

Still, it’s a little sad that some of the more explosive weapons were left out of this short showcase, with the trailer focusing more on conventional weapons that we’ve already seen plenty of. Still, that Auto Crossbow is looking like my go to death dealing gadget of choice already. Do you also enjoy taking the silent route, or is a Molotov and a massive machine gun more your style?

I’m so keen for this game… But man, November is packed to the brim with some great titles! And between my new house payments and moving costs, me thinks this may have to wait till some form of price drop in 2015 (and yes, that most definitely makes me a very sad panda).
