Now we have some very special announcements and reveals in store for you.

Part one gave us a look at some multi-platform games that are coming to the 360, as well as some brand new announcements and demos of some incredible sequels as well.

Part two reveals even more huge titles, some of which you already know, and others that have only now been officially confirmed. Fasten your seat belts, because there are some amazing looking titles headed to the 360.

Part Two has some of the really, and I mean really big hitters, so let’s get going.

For-Real

Rumors popped up once upon a time about a year ago, then more rumours popped up just a short while ago, and while a lot of people suspected the announcement, nothing was confirmed and no solid details had been found.

Somehow, Turn 10 have done it, and it’s looking fantastic. Yes, I am talking about Forza 3. Not only will the game hitting shelves on October this year, but it is looking ridiculously good in the visuals department, with Turn 10 very quick and very proud to announce that Forza 3 is the “best looking racing game on any console”, obviously stating that they are 100% confident that the visuals are now better than Sony’s good looking big hitter, GT5 ( which to be fair is only the Prologue version and not final).

The car models look amazing, the environments rich, damage is all there and the best part is that the whole game is apparently cruising around at a silky 60 frames per second.

Even more features have been added to the game, such as the ability to edit and then upload HD video onto the net from your replays, and yes the livery designing tools are still there and in full force. Not only that, but the game will feature a massive 400 cars from 50 manufacturers and 100 real tracks. Even better, all of the cars have fully modeled in-car dashboards now as well, showing that Turn 10 really mean business. The cars are touted to use more than 10 times the amount of polygons as used in Forza 2, so this one is expected to look damn good.

Cars are now also able to roll, making accidents even more interesting, and races even more risky, which means that the new ability to modify race rules and settings will be welcome so that everyone from the casual to the super hardcore will be able to play multiplayer in the way that suits them best.

Forza 3, although only just announced and shown for the first time, will already be releasing in October, so be prepared to drop even more cash down later this year if racing is your thing.

Say Halo To My Little Friend

Now the next announcement was one that we already knew about, and was then followed with the announcement of a secret project that we had already found out about 2 days ago.

Halo: ODST was shown, and is actually looking great, starting off with an in-game scene of your character “The Rookie” dropping in from the sky through clouds as an Epic event takes place in front of him.

The gameplay looks mostly similar to Halo 3, so you already know if you are going to love it or hate it. There is also a new co-operative game mode being included called Firefight.

The next announcement was Bungie’s secret project, Halo: Reach. While we had already discovered it’s existence this week, it was finally officially revealed with a teaser. Very little was said about the game, but Bungie did announce that a Beta would be available to those who buy ODST, which means that it is going to sell like hotcakes.

Halo: ODST will be out on September 22nd, and Reach has been given a 2010 release date.

Wake Up And Smell The Fear

Happy days! Alan Wake has finally made an appearance, and better yet, the game was demoed entirely with in-game visuals, and then demoed live as well.

The great news is that after speculation that the game may never happen, and a lot of silence from the developers, the game is looking absolutely phenomenal.

The demo showed Alan Wake walking around in a forest area, with his flashlight acting like a crosshair. Creepy things start to happen, trees start falling over and you start hearing whispers in a very LOST TV show sort of way.

The video will be posted up soon so be sure to check it out for yourself, as it is a little hard to describe. What I did really like about the game was that Alan Wake was narrating the story as the guy was playing, which was a fresh way to approach story telling and works really well for the setting.

Alan Wake is alive and kicking, and will be available in Spring 2010, so for us, around about April-ish, which is still a far way off.

Metal Gear Comes To The Xbox 360

There have been rumours, there have been theories and we finally get to hear that a Metal Gear game for the Xbox 360 is officially confirmed and on it’s way.

Contrary to popular belief, the game that was announced, was in fact, not Metal Gear Solid 4, but a whole new series of Metal Gear Games that look to be based on Raiden, with Snake looking to stay exclusive to the Playstation, unless he disappears altogether. This title has been named Metal Gear Solid: Rising, and so far nothing has been shown and it still looks like it’s going to be quite a while off. I am pretty sure that it is going to be well worth the wait.

What’s Next

That’s the end of Part Two. Part Three looks at features that are being integrated into the Xbox Live Dashboard, so don’t miss it.

  1. I have a question… IF we get Raiden… Then why did they show Big boss on the countdown then??? Is he gonna be the one exclusive to PS3 or PSP Go then?
