Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen announced

DDLG

Despite contrary opinions here, Dragon’s Dogma has been a reasonable success for Capcom. The  open world action RPG has managed to sell over a million units so far, and it’s built up quite a sizeable, and vocal fan-base of loyalists. Capcom is looking to expand on their burgeoning new brand, details of which have just crossed over from the Tokyo Game Show.

A full add-on to Dragon’s Dogma, Dark Arisen was announced as a new “major expansion”, and will be available in 2013 for the game, on PS3 and Xbox 360, and will make use of your original DD save file.

And that’s it for the details. Capcom says that they’ll announce more info before the year ends, but in the meantime, if you’ve tired of throwing crass, rude and downright juvenile comments at Garth for his rather brilliant and honest review, don’t forget that the game will also be implementing a new difficulty setting, as well as a Speedrun mode that challenges players to beat the game as quickly as possible, quite soon.
