Crytek support trolls PC Gamer

Crysis360

Crysis 3 is currently in multiplayer beta – on pretty much all formats. One of the caveats of a beta – and really why they exist in the first place – is that sometimes they just don’t work, or don’t work properly, especially on PC’s where the possible hardware configurations are nearly infinite. One PC gamer, struggling to get the beta working, took to the MyCrysis forums to ask for help. And then got trolled by support.

”Haven’t been able to get SLI working. Running dual 660 Ti. Got the beta drivers installed, added the beta game to the list, SLI is checked, r_multigpu is set to 2…What do?” wrote struggling gamer Crazyfist.

In a now amended post, a Crytek employee responded with “Buy a 360?”

Take that, Master race! Some PC gamers were none-too-chuffed by the response, but I have to say…it’s wholly unprofessional, discourteous and tremendously funny. I laughed. A beta of a game, using beta drivers?

Yeah, I think maybe a few issues are expected.

I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
