Battlefield-3-sim

The UK’s Gadget show has put together the ultimate Battlefield 3 rig. No it’s not just a high-powered PC – it’s a full on, immersive simulator, using motion-control roller-flooring that allows players to walk about as if actually inside the game, coupled with an Apple-infused gun,   Igloo Vision projection dome, and a suit with 12 paintball markers that allows the player, in real time, to feel the enemy gunfire and ambient LED lighting to increase the immersion. A Kinect hack brings the rest of the player’s movements to the game.

It’s incredibly impressive stuff, allowing for hyper-immersion. – bringing the promise of 90’s virtual reality tech to life. It’s pretty amazing – and despite what NVIDIA might say, this really seems like the way it’s meant to be played.

Just tie this to tank and jet sim setups = never leave the warehouse!

You can prolly build this thing if you have enough time and money. All off the shelf tech.

    Incredibly impressive.
