In what is possibly the most honest statement ever made by a CEO, the man we all love to hate Robert Kotick of Activision has come out and stated that Activisions last 5 years of Spiderman games have sucked.

Don’t believe me? Here is a direct quote for you

“Our Spider-Man games have sucked for the last five years,”

“They are bad games. They were poorly rated because they were bad games”

Ouch, and on the other hand well done Mr Kotick. Nothing annoys me more than someone continuously banging on about a piece of crap trying their best to convince people it’s just their perception of the thing that is wrong.

Hopefully the next Spiderman game that comes out of the beast that is Activision is a true representative of what we want.

Swinging and ass kicking, that is all.

    I think it was Spiderman 2 on PSP that I played a few years ago, finished the game in under 2 hours :blink:

    It’s a marketing ploy.

    Bobby’s on the offensive to curb any unrest regarding the latest crop of games coming from the Activision-Blizzard stable. Apart from Modern Warfare 2 and World of Warcraft, it’s been a mixed bag for them, the fact that interest in the guitar hero games are in decline, Tony Hawk games are no longer bankable and DJ Hero never really set the world alight, probably gave Gingerballs Bobby a sweaty forehead, so much for his McDonalds Games idea…

    But in this situation, it’s best to pre-empt your critics, tell them you made a mistake, let the gamers laugh at you for a bit, or lampoon you on the internet, but you know you hold the cards, and you’ll be laughing all the way to the bank when you release Modern Warfare 3.

    Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbour were preparing to do some research about that. We got a good book on that matter from our local library and most books where not as influensive as your information.
