I like many others in the Internet world was horribly disappointed by the Battlefield 3 beta on Xbox 360 for many reasons unrelated to the graphics but at the same time I was pretty disappointed with the graphics as well.
And apparently I had a right to be and it’s not really going to be getting any better unfortunately.
According to a photo taken from an undisclosed location the console version of Battlefield 3 is pretty much the same as the PC version on it’s lowest possible settings. So what we are seeing when we play on consoles is as bad as the PC guys can make the game look which is a little depressing really.
It’s also a little surprising seeing that other developers have managed to squeeze a lot more out of the console hardware recently.
I’m still hoping the final version is a vast improvement from the beta and that BF3 is as good as I wanted it to be.
