Ass-kicking kung-fu action with Sleeping Dogs combat trailer

Last month, I had a little hands-on time with Sleeping Dogs, the new Hong-Kong based open-world sandbox crime and probably a few other adjectives action game from Square Enix and United Front Games. In it, I detailed how the hand-to-hand, melee combat was fluid and fantastic – and far removed from the simple hand-to-hand combat you’d find in similar games. It’s also pretty damned brutal – allowing you to contextually dole out death in interesting ways.

Now you get to see the combat for yourself in this delicious combat-focused trailer- where our hero Wei-Shen sets a dude’s head on fire. Awesome. the only question I have is – why do all the character models look exactly the same?

Sleeping Dogs is out in August this year for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 , and it’s something I need. Yes, need.
