What if Tim Burton designed Pokemon?

It’s hard to deny that Tim Burton has a very unique style of visual design in his films. Albeit a style that seems to be derived from pure nightmare fuel. You can see it in all his films, from The Nightmare before Christmas, through to Big Fish. So what would happen if he turned his attention to Pokémon, and decided to sketch ‘em all?

You’d get this. And yes, if Tim Burton made a Pokémon film, they’d most likely all be voiced by Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. Artist Hat Boy came up with the designs, drawing on who knows what kind of twisted inspiration to render the characters in the creepy style of Burton. Here’s his current crop of designs, but check out his Tumblr, as Hat Boy is regularly updating it.
