Epic Mickey team getting the chop

Epic Mickey was released a little while back to pretty poor reviews and low sales in and Europe and now it seems that the team behind it is being punished for the response.

According to tweets and rumours around about half of the entire 700 man development team at Junction Point have been laid off by Disney Interactive.

This even though the game has already sold 1.3 million units in America, it’s a sad day indeed when a game that sells over a million units still isn’t good enough to save the jobs of the guys who created it.

Though to be fair there were stratospheric hopes for Epic Mickey that they just never even got close to reaching.
