This is Link Reynolds

LinkReynolds

Earlier this week, Darryn showed you a video of a dude dressed up as The Legend of Zelda’s Link – and his failed attempt at finding everlasting happiness. Obviously a fan of the games and several sandwiches short of a picnic, the man clad in the green tunic is on a quest to find his princess. We’ve contacted him and this is what we know:

He is Link Reynolds, and he’s a sad man.

Unhappy in life and especially in love, Link Reynolds is on a quest to find Zelda (who may or may not actually exist), his princess and true love. After the events of rAge, his confidence has been shattered – but he’s regaining his stride, one misplaced step at a time. He needs help. Yes, probably mentally, but also on his quest. You can find Link Reynolds on Facebook, and pledge your support for him and aid him in his quest for sanity Zelda. Maybe you can help him?

Some film students, armed with a handy-cam and a Macbook are chronicling his journey, details of which you can find here. The videos you’ll find there – Often funny, sometimes sad – are pretty cool and definitely worth watching.

In the videos below, you can see how much getting back on Epona has upped his confidence.

I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
