There is no hope left… and it’s happening tomorrow Popular

I do love viral marketing and even though I’m not sure if this is even gaming related it includes Johannesburg so we have to cover it.

That and I’m 90% sure it’s Resident Evil 6 that’s about to be announced tomorrow.

If you head on over to the No Hope Left website you’ll find a bunch of images like this one

JOBURG-6

all with the same graffiti’d tag line with the O wrapped in what looks to be like an expanded biohazard symbol.

bio_comparison

The symbols have apparently been found in London, Johannesburg, Hong Kong and what looks like somewhere in the Middle East.

But what really sells this marketing spin is the following video… now tell me this isn’t just a whole lot of freaky wrapped into one video.

Our game isn’t bad you’re just playing it wrong

Very freaky video. It’s got my attention! Marketing success. The tag’s hmmm, was that individuals or was it a company that did those? Make you wonder.

  • Nicholas Rowan

Creepy. I am a fan of this zombie/infected type of thing. Hopefully it’s not an anti-climax :D

  • LAblak22

Could be a new RE game seeing as there was a news report a while back with a Chinese voice actress adding Chinese Villager for a Resident Evil game to her resume.

Yeah, fast zombies freak me out too… :o

Any chance that’s it’s related to Bane from The Dark Knight Rises? I know nothing about the character apart from the fact that he wears a mask.

  • rogue_riezo

I think its World War Z viral marketing, but Im hoping its RE6.

    • Anonymous

Ooooo good point there, seeing as most of the countries those cities are in, are featured in the book. So might just be viral marketing for the up and coming movie.

I hope its WWZ. One of the best books I’ve ever read and the movie has the talented and beautiful Brad Pitt.

  • Maxiviper117

Oh come on, I found that far from creepy?

  • Omlette

WWZ = awesome book but the movie is probably going to be dodge. All set in a single city as opposed to the world scale of the book.

That aside, my vote goes to this being marketing for WWZ
