The Tokyo Game Show, Japan’s premier gaming event is happening right now – and the tubes are currently being inundated with all manner of trailer showcasing the latest in Japanese games. Instead of posting ‘em all one by one, we’ve lumped ‘em all together – so grab some Ramen and take in the best that Japan has to offer.

Fist of the North Star 2: Ken’s Rage

Metal Gear Rising : Revengeance

Platinum Games take on Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear universe looks like beautiful blend of Metal Gear and the criminally overlooked Vanquish. SOLD!

PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale

Sony’s copy of take on the Super Smash Bros Formula is a little hard to follow in the mental trailer – but it does seem like it’s shaping up to be a barrel of fun.

God Eater 2

Namco Bandai’s take on the Capcom’s Monster Hunter formula  – taking on great big groups of giant beasties – has proven to be pretty popular in the land o’ the rising sun – and it’s sequel will grace the PSP as well as the Vita. I want this.

The Puppeteer

One of Sony’s star surprises from Gamescom, this gem from Sony’s Japan Studios  looks like a wonderful fantasy adventure – even if it does seem to have nicked some of LittleBigPlanet’s textile aesthetics.

Soul Sacrifice

Resident Evil creator Keiji Inafune’s debut game since leaving Capcom, Soul Sacrifice for the Vita is a co-operative adventure that’s a little bit Dark souls, a little bit Monster hunter and a lot awesome.

Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney

Singularly justifying every 3DS purchase ever, this bizarre crossover shouldn’t work – but it looks magical.
