Slaughter is Magic – My Little Pony invades Skyrim

MLPSkyrim

Skyrim’s grey, humourless world of civil conflict, the resurrection of dragons and well, the potential end of the world could do with a little cheering up – and there’s no better way to melt away anger and frustration than the addition of Ponies. This Skyrim mod (for the PC version, naturally) does just that, by adding My Little Ponies’ Pinkie Pie in one of the most incredible, most beautifully edited Skyrim videos I’ve ever seen.  It’s not the first MLP Skyrim mod – but certainly the one with the best video.

Now I’m not straight up admitting to being a Brony, but the recent animated reboot of My Little Ponies, Friendship is Magic is pretty amazing – and one of the better, most well written and genuinely funny modern cartoons I’ve had the joy of watching in my adult life. Now, as tempted as you are to cast aspersions on my sexuality, watch the video instead – and resist the temptation to smile instead.

You can download the files necessary to add a dash of magic to your own copy of Skyrim here.

I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
